This is an oyster ramen shop from Osaka that has opened an outlet at Westgate in Jurong (3 Gateway Drive #B1-28, 6592-5060). It seems that we walked right past the original location on Osaka's Sennichimae Doguyasuji kitchenware street a couple of months ago without even knowing it.
Anyway, I liked their slow-cooked broth above, as it was creamy and savory, and the tender meat sushi in front was better than I was expecting too. They also have a clear Ikasu broth that I didn't get to try, but I assume that it will be closer to Hototogisu's edgy and aromatic rendition. By comparison, this Koeru one above was velvety and interestingly used noodles shaped like linguine. I liked that they had shredded the menma into thin strips too.
What is weird about this place though is the bizarrely dark decor. It looked like a planetarium or nightclub. Presumably it's similar to how the Osaka shop is done, but its dark vibes discourages one to enter. That said, I'm going back to try their tsukemen because those flat noodles looked quite promising.
