China's Xiang Xiang Hunancai in Singapore

This Hunan chain from China has opened several outlets in Singapore already, but this is my first time going to one. Their signature xiaochaorou above was right at the top of the menu, boasting about the number of servings sold and highlighting ingredients like Iberian pork and a fungus from Yunnan. Yeah, it was pretty good. It wasn't spicy, but there was a very mild hint of heat from those green peppers, not to mention a bit of smokiness from those tender, fatty, yet thin slices of pork. And like that beef that I had last week, the best part was the delicious oil sitting at the bottom, as one could scoop it onto bowls of rice to facilitate ingestion.
