There were a bazillion chain restaurants across the street from my hotel tonight, so I randomly picked this
Hunanese one. This stir-fried beef was at the top of the menu; it wasn't that spicy nor aromatic, but it featured
local cattle called Qinchuan, which was tender.
Actually, the thing that I liked the most about this dish was the oil at the bottom. I'm not sure if it came from the beef itself or if they poured in some other kind of oil to stir fry it, but it was so silky rich when poured over rice that I consumed way more carbs than I needed to tonight.
