Swee Choon Tim Sum Restaurant, Singapore
I had never heard of this dim sum place (183 Jalan Besar, 6225-7788). But they've been around for over fifty years, and apparently are quite popular due to their late night hours. This mee suah kueh is one of their signature items, and is quite unique. These were skinny mee suah noodles fried into rectangular cakes (think: Johor bee hoon or scorched rice). Yes, it was fun to eat.
We also got other items, but none of them stood out that much, perhaps because this was delivered rather than eating on-site. I'd be happy to go back for the mee suah kueh again though; I just need to remember give their hae bi hiam chili a try, while staying away from the cze cha part of the menu; I didn't care too much for their har cheong gai nor crispy eggplant tonight.
