This isn't quite what we thought it would be. A "Salted Egg Brinjal" sounded great when we saw it on the menu, but had we known that it was going to be battered like this, we never would've ordered it. This ultimately ended up tasting more like batter (and
salted egg flavoring), even if there was still some eggplant inside.
Chuan Kee is still an impressively cheap place though.
