Here's another hotpot chain from China, with this one being near Bugis (34 Middle Road #01-53). It was more hardcore, or at least traditional, than other places like Doulaofang. Both the mushroom and spicy broth were more salt-centric in an old school way, while the spread included things like those root things on the left (I think they were fishmint if I tasted it correctly; it was strong enough that I couldn't take more than one bite). Well, the good thing is that they are doing a S$59 (US$44) set right now that was so generous that two of us couldn't finish the food. I won't be rushing back but will have to try the chuanr if I do.
