Woncheon Seolleongtang in Hwaseong, South Korea
We had seolleongtang for lunch between meetings today (488-40 Banwol-dong). Or in this case, it was oxtail gomtang. Yep, it was awesome, especially when spiked with loads of sliced leeks as well as that coarse salt that they had. Their kimchi was the fresh kind that one had to cut with scissors; it was only after talking to my team today that this is typical at such soup shops. And that oxtail tends to be popular with older diners, in part perhaps because it it s a bit more expensive, not to mention slighly less convenient to eat. But it was deliciously tender and tasty.
