I know that SOTPOT at Suntec City in Singapore serves this stuff, but I never had a chance to try it. So when I passed by this chain in Seoul tonight, I figured that I'd finally give these steamed cypress wood boxes a try.
Too bad it looked better than it tasted. The meat itself, while delicately thin and marbled, didn't really taste of much. The dipping sauce that they provided was heavy and sweet, and would have been much better with just some simple sesame oil and salt.
Those raw soy sauce prawns weren't that exciting either. At least it looked pretty. And that two-portion box was healthy without being filling at all.
