I came to this place (56 Tanglin Road #B1-02) because they did fish & chips. But it turns out that the thing that many people liked about it was precisely the thing that I disiiked: the batter. It was extremely crispy, but the batter was also seasoned so much that it overpowered the fish. Similarly, the chips were so
crispy that they were rather coarse, while the
mushy peas were overseasoned too. Well, it's a fun beer garden environment outside, but I'll stick to
Smiths.
