That might look a bit weird above, but that's the inverted skirt of a set of
guotie from this small chain of dumpling shops. The smoked duck filling inside was a little sweet, yet I didn't mind it as much as I thought I would, as it kinda went well with that crispy skirt and skin. Actually, they serve more than just dumplings; it was basically a Taiwanese menu, including a
miso cod that was decently rich and tender. But I'll definitely pass on their
luroufan next time, as it was so disappointingly lean that it defeated the point of the dish.
