China's Yubafang at Raffles City in Singapore
If I understood it correctly, this is a chain from Chongqing that was inspired by another famous dumpling shop from Taiwan called Bafang Yunji. I've never eaten at either one, but the wait at their new Raffles City outlet was only 20 minutes today, so I placed an order of their classic signature guotie (252 North Bridge Road #B1-54).
Both the skin and the filling were hearty and not as exciting as I would've hoped for, especially after having sat in that takeout container. Still, I'll come back to try the other fillings, especially when the prawn version becomes available. It was kinda cool that the dumplings were open-ended BTW.
