So we've seen kopitiam yakiniku and kopitiam soba lately, but how about kopitiam yakitori? This stall (465 North Bridge Road #01-5041) is run by a team of former Keisuke and MOF chefs, and it was pretty cheap. Now, at those prices, one can't expect much; I'd skip the negima above given its dry chicken and tough negi (even Tori-Q's is more tender). But the mushrooms were plump, and the karaage was crispy straight out of the fryer, going well with kopitiam beer. If I come back here, I need to remember to tell them not to use that sweet tare sauce, and maybe see if I can bring my own shichimi and sansho.
