Chengdu has been running several outlets in Singapore for a few years now, and yet I only found out about it now. It's like many of the other big hotpot chains, complete with
little tins of oil at each table, an iPad-based ordering system, and a traditional decor. The quality of the ingredients and broth were fine, although I made the mistake of letting them mix my dipping sauce for me; he squeezed a glob of black
hoisin sauce in there, making it slightly sweet. My favorite chain is still
Da Long Yi at Orchard Central.
