The Teochew Festival is back at Ngee Ann City this weekend. They had an assortment of food items like oyster omelettes, ngoh hiang, meat jelly, and a variety of noodles. But then I saw one guy steaming changfen in a metal contraption with big flat trays. He progressively threw in meat, shrimp, and veggies before scraping it off the tray and topping it with a couple of sauces and garnish. It wasn't quite as good as I had hoped, but I'm sure that I would've liked it a lot more if I had some stanky fish sauce and chili to go with it.
