Tony’s Pizza Napoletana In San Francisco

Purple Potato Pizza

There's a pizza shop in San Francisco whose chef is quite well acclaimed, and fortunately he has a quick kiosk at SFO Terminal 1 that was open this morning. Despite the name, this kiosk was more focused on Sicilian and New York slices instead of Neapolitan (apparently he does that at his restaurant in the city along with Roman, Detroit, St. Louis, Californian, and even coal-fired and "Grandma" styles). Anyway, my purple potato slice above was fun, if borderline salty and over the top. But the crust was interestingly mildly crispy and spongy at the same time (in a good way), and it all went down nicely. I'd be happy to try his other stuff.
