This place at Far East Square has been getting some big lunchtime crowds because it's a Michelin Bib Gourmand from Seoul that now has an outlet down here (47 Pekin Street #01-01).
The way that they pitch the food as "buckwheat noodles" and serve it on a bamboo mat with a small bowl made me incorrectly think that this was meant to be eaten like Japanese soba with only a very quick submersion before being slurped. It was only toward the end of the meal did I finally connect the dots with the mustard bottle and sweet icy broth to realize that this was more like deconstructed naengmyeon instead. Frankly, this is a better way to do naengmyeon since it doesn't require scissors.
Yes, the food was fine, healthy, and surprisingly affordable. I want to go back to try some of the other items, but I won't wait in line for it. And I doubt I'll get the bossam again, as it was a bit lean and dry.
