
The Divine Chicken Pot stall at 313@Somerset was advertising something called "burning noodle" from Yibin in Sichuan. It was only a few minutes after I ordered it did I realize that I had already tried this from one of their other outlets many years ago...and I didn't like it. At least this time, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, even if it basically just tasted like dandanmian with minced meat in a salty spicy peanut mixture covering slightly overcooked noodles. I'm not sure why they put chili padi on there given that the chili paste on the side was more potent and fragrant. But I ate it all, even if that soup was like dishwater.
