Bar Los Diamantes in Granada, Spain

Champiñón y gambas

This little counter was packed when we walked by tonight (28 Calle Navas), so we made our way in and grabbed our drinks, after which they immediately put a free plate of fried anchovies. And the free food kept coming: they put another plate of fried sardines in front of us a few minutes later, not to mention those cold prawns in the background of the photo above. It was fun every time the bartender said "tapas," because it meant that it was another free dish.

There was also a menu available if you wanted to pay for food, like those wonderfully meaty and plump mushrooms above, as well as some fried artichokes that we ordered.I love how these guys don't restrain themselves on the salt either, sprinkling a good amount of sizeable salt crystals on many of our items. Our neighbors were ordering things like octopus, mussels, and razor clams that looked gorgeous, but we simply did not have any stomach space left.
