Petisqueira II in Madrid, Spain
This turned out to be another one of those rowdy places that shoves free tapas in your face when you order drinks (17 Calle de Mejía Lequerica, 914-44-4550). Here they provided paella and bikini sandwiches, but they also had food that you could pay for too, so I grabbed the callos a la madrileña above.
It was better than the one from the other night given not only that it was piping hot and with a good amount of spiciness, but also in that the tripe was fun to eat with its chewy gelatinous structure. BTW, I just love the shape of those cider glasses; I need to find a place that sells those so that I can bring some home.
