China’s YAO YAO Sauerkraut Fish in Singapore

Suancaiyu and Shuzhuyupian

Another suancaiyu chain from China has opened an outlet down here, this time at VivoCity (1 Harbourfront Walk #02-145). The quality of the fish itself was not as good as Tai Er, but the suancai itself had a lot more leafy goodness. They also offered things that Tai Er didn't, like a big youtiao for you to dip into the broth, as well as a half portion of shuizhuyu alongside if you wanted it. They even had Peking duck as an option, but we didn't go for that. My preference is still for Tai Er, but I certainly wouldn't mind this place if there is no wait to get in.
