BIZEN is a
wagyu-focused extension of
Astons, a chain that I'm not particularly fond of. But we wanted some
cheap steak, so we went to one of their outlets tonight and got that
menchi katsu above for just S$8.90 (US$6.40). It was fried nicely, but all I could taste was the
panko rather than the meat itself. We also ordered a ribeye, whose fatty meat taste was much more pronounced and enjoyable, but it was a whopping S$48.90 (US$35) for a 220g cut. You get what you pay for.
