I'm not sure if this is a chain from China, but the staff at this Sichuan restaurant at
Jewel (78 Airport Boulevard #03-208, 6970-0018) said that the chef is from
Chongqing, and that he specialized in small street snacks. The menu didn't have
mapo tofu, but it had most of the other requisite items like noodles and dumplings. Fortunately, the prices were pretty low, and there were little jars of earthy chili oil on each table to help perk things up given that the food wasn't as spicy as I would've hoped.
