Chocolate Collon, Anyone?

Glico Collon Biscuit Roll

Oh man, talk about an unfortunate way to transliterate Japanese into English. To make things worse, they are cylindrical in shape and come in a chocolate flavor. This also comes one day after ordering some (naturally filled?) intestines at the bak kut teh place yesterday.

Naturally Filled IntestinesActually, I didn't eat either one, and I wouldn't be surprised if both were pretty good. At least the Calpis name is sometimes converted into Calpico instead.

  1. Those Collon thingys are nice even though the name is a bit unfortunate as you say. The chocolate version's best. But personally, my favourite TV snack is Calbee prawn crackers - another Japanese invention. Am totally addicted to the stuff even though it costs 3 times here compared to back home in Singapore.

  2. Collon or Corron is actually an onomatopoeic word to represent a roundish object rolling along. So unfortunate...

You know what Kani Nabe (crab hotpot in Japan) means in Hokkien?
