I didn't realize this until now, but buttermilk biscuits are a breakfast thing in the south. And this small chain from here in North Carolina is only open from 7 AM to 2 PM, so I scrambled over before an early start to the day. The thing about this shop is that it's run by a CIA grad, and the emphasis is on the butter-centric biscuits and locally milled flour. It was fluffy and almost silky. The chicken itself was fine too, as it wasn't as dry as it could have been, and was accentuated with a pickle and a bit of spiciness too. Next time I might get the fried green tomato version.
