Here's a better photo of that tawa meen roast from Dindigul Thalappakatti. And yes, it's better in person as it was extra crisp and tender, making it easy to gobble it up in seconds. I loved how their buttermilk was spiked with ginger and cilantro, while a lot of what we ordered today was also garnished that way, like the dry masala-coated mutton sukka pieces.
If I had to nitpick on anything, it would just be that the kadai veg was drowning in too much oil, while the malai kebabs were a bit dry. But the green chutney it came with helped to offset that. And I'm still a huge fan of the kuska, which was done with good amount of tasty mutton fat without too much of the protein itself. I love this place.
