That headline above is quite a mouthful, but this was the khao soi from IM JAI by Pun Im, and it was surprisingly good, especially with that super punchy curry. It was really in-your-face in a bold and unapologetic way with all of its salt and spices, so much that it left a residual burn afterwards. The chili oil on the side wasn't even needed from a heat perspective, although it did provide a nice smoky blanket over it all. The noodles underneath as well as the freshly fried crispy noodles on top helped to soak up the broth, and the bone-in chicken was tender, even if it wasn't very convenient to eat. Either way, it was a good bowl.
