Tuan Yuan Pork Ribs Soup in Singapore

Clockwise from upper right: tenderloin bak kut teh, kway, and stir fried green dragon chives with salted fish

Somehow I've never really heard of this bak kut teh shop even though its wall full of celebrity photos suggests that I am just not hanging around in the right circles (127 Kim Tian Road #01-01, 6684-0123). The broth is not as garlicky nor peppery as places like Ya Hua, but there was an option for more pepper if one wanted it, and they definitely weren't afraid to use salt here either. Yes, I liked it enough that I'd go back, in particular to try some of their Teochew dishes like oyster omelettes and steamed fish.
