Niku Niku Oh!! Kome at Resorts World Sentosa

Hmaburg Steak

Not to be confused with that takeout kiosk Niku iKU, this is a chain from overseas that has opened an outlet at the new WEAVE mall (26 Sentosa Gateway #01-228). It's obviously meant to serve Japanese hanbaagu, although interestingly its first outlet was in Shanghai. From what I can figure out, it is run by a big chain operator in Japan but it doesn't have any outlets there.

Anyway, it's counter seating surrounding a central grill that churns out hanbaagu and broccoli with optional toppings like cheese and even avocado. The latter was weird enough that I won't bother with it again, while the former featured hard cheese grated onto sliced cheese while it was on the personal grill in front of you. It seemed like it was for theatrics, but I suppose it was fun to scrape off the scorched cheese afterwards.

For the original ungarnished one above, they provided an array of condiments to dress it up with. One got free refills of rice and soup, not to mention that grilled broccoli too. In that sense, this place was kinda like Yappari, but I'd rather go there, especially since one doesn't have to pay the Sentosa entrance fee for that. Gyu San and Keisuke's place are more accessible too.
