I've walked by this place several times and noticed its signage about its fried chicken briyani and having been around since 1960 (7 Stanley Street, 6221-7677). I've been very curious as a result, and yet only got around to going there today.
The chicken featured an oddly smooth orange batter. It had clearly been sitting around for a while, and the meat was very dry to boot. They provided gravy and achar pickles, but it was difficult to get excited about. It's my fault for unrealistically envisioning karaage-meets-Bismillah; clearly that was not what they were going for.
