It's interesting that Japanese restaurants from China are opening outlets down here. This one is at Suntec City (3 Temasek Boulevard #01-514), and the Chinese influence is very pronounced in the food. Witness the chicken skin above, which was super crispy and pre-seasoned with earthy spices. It was more like chuanr as a result, and was pretty good given the decent quality of the ingredients. It wasn't cheap though, as the sticks were priced as singles and thus added up quickly. I'll just go to a chuanr shop instead.
