Nihonbashi Menya Maishi from Tokyo, Japan

Tai Ramen

I'm not entirely clear what the situation is with these guys, as it appears that their original Ginza outlet has shut down. But they had an outlet in Gotemba and I was curious about their tai ramen.

The highlight was definitely the broth, which was bright and savory enough to slurp my bowl down to the last drop, even if the noodles were a bit mushy and the chicken breast a bore.

At least it was better than a local Gotemba soba that I separately tried from another stall, as the carrots and chicken were a bore, even if the flat soba noodles gave me pleasant thoughts of reconsistuted phở noodles.
