Hosaengwon in Giheung, South Korea

Bulgogi Jeongol

That may look like a giantic pile of leeks, but I assure you that there were very tender and thin slices of beef underneath, swimming in a thin and slightly sweet broth (58 Hosaengwon, 031-284-3366). It was bulgogi jeongol, the second word of which designated it as a hot pot for the meat, making it refreshing and soothing on a cold day like today. The selection of banchan here was impressively wide here too, overloading our table with dishes everywhere. One even got little roasted sweet potatoes outside when waiting for one's ride. Nice place.
