I didn't realize that shredded chicken on rice was a thing in Taiwan until I stumbled into this random shop where I got that lurou combo bowl above (43 Zhongxiao East Road Section 5, 02-2762-1666). The chicken was more moist than I was expecting, but it was mild, as was the pork next to it. Fortunately, they had some potent chili oil that perked this up in a jiffy. It was cheap too at just TWD55 (US$1.70). The fact that they are open late at night means that it might make for an easy snack one day.
