Chao Shan Cuisine at the Grand Building in Singapore

Crab Omelette

This old school looking restaurant is seemingly out of place right in the middle of the CBD (17 Philip Street #01-01, 6336-2390). But it was packed and rowdy at lunch today, and I only realized after looking it up that it actually hasn't been at this location for very long.

Anyway, it's a Teochew restaurant, serving things like braised goose, pork aspic, and that crabmeat omelette above. The quality of the food was better than I was expecting, but I'd be a much bigger fan if the menu featured things like yufan, beef balls, and ganchao shuiguo.
