The Carbonara Linguine from The English House
Yep, I went back to The English House for their Inflation Menu special, which was this carbonara linguine today. The noodles were softer than I preferred, but it was still very nice with those rustic chunks of sausage and crispy little bits of bacon on top.
Interestingly, they they footnote some of their menu items in big red letters to underscore the kitchen's techniques. This one, for instance, mentioned that it used "strictly egg yolks for this dish." Previous dishes said that they didn't use frozen fish, evaporated milk, nor powdered soup mix. But I didn't try any of those.
