As the name suggests, this place is more of a
mala xiangguo and
Sichuan grilled fish shop (190 Lorong 6 Toa Payoh). But the menu has a number of other things that I wanted to try, particularly the
yangrouchuanr and
ganbian sijidou. Neither one was as good as
Ah Gu Kaka Wa, particularly the latter, as this one was underseasoned and featured dried chilies that had zero aroma. The
chuanr likewise weren't very moist, but it was passable enough that I wouldn't mind coming back here if I'm not in the mood to head up to Ang Mo Kio.
