Egyptian, Saudi, and Lebanese Fava Beans in a Can
I picked up these cans at Mustafa. This brand seems to cater to the Middle East market, and I was excited to try the different varieties available. All of them were more watery and acidic than I was expecting, but I liked the Egyptian one the best due to both the cumin and in that it was less citrusy than the others, despite the picture of the lemon on the wrapper. The Saudi one was garlicky and sour, while the Lebanese one was more balanced and decently seasoned. None of these were as spicy as the ones that I had from Chtoura, although maybe that was because I didn't choose the right ones.
