On the former grounds of
Xi Ding now lies a Vietnamese restaurant (7 Hoe Chiang Road, 8727-1879). I cleared my food with ease, and that's despite the fact that the
chả cá Lã Vọng above lacked the pool of
turmeric-laced oil at the bottom. The
phở broth and noodles didn't get me that excited either, but I still happily gobbled it down with those thin slices of meat. I want to try more from their menu some day.
