Orh Gao Taproom at Serene Centre, Singapore
This place is so cool that I'm surprised that it hasn't gotten more attention (10 Jalan Serene #01-03). It's an outlet of Killiney Kopitiam during the day, but by the afternoon, the row of taps are active, fitted with a bunch of local craft brews. Basically, think of a typical kopitiam (i.e., coffee in the morning shifting to beer in the afternoon), but add air conditioning, neon lighting, and craft beer on tap, and you get the idea.
More importantly, they have food that's not only done with care (i.e., this isn't your typical nasty bar food) but also with playful twists on local food. Those fries above, for instance, are done up with Chinese black vinegar, while that fried whitebait has a potent sambal belachan. I'm eager to come back to try more, especially since the prices are reasonable too.
