Kawanasi's Wild Harvested Indonesian Kenari Nuts

Kawanasi's Wild Harvested Indonesian Kenari Nuts

I saw these at the market the other day and picked up a bag out of curiosity (yes, they hooked me with their marketing narrative about working with locals to handpick nuts from trees grown on "fertile volcanic soil" and seasoning it with Balinese sea salt). It turned out that these nuts were very soft; more so than walnuts and cashews. And the taste is rich; not as much as macadamias, but still tasty with a tinge of woodsy-ness. I liked it, but I won't buy it again at S8.50 ($6.20) for that little 80g bag.
