Rediscovering Chalong Charcoal Grilled Meats, Singapore
Somehow I completely forgot about this place. Or rather, I always knew it was here, but for some reason, I didn't recall liking it enough to feel it worth returning to, despite what I wrote more than three years ago. Only today did I realize that I've been missing out all this while. That pork jowl above was impressively tender and moist, making this a delight to eat. The portions were small (especially when one chooses a salad base rather than rice), but that's probably a good thing as long as I have the will power to keep myself from ordering a second bowl.
