V & B Cuisine in Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong

Phở

No, the intention wasn't to get phở in Hong Kong. But we saw roast geese hanging in the glass case, and stepped inside to get some. Only after looking at the menu did we realize that it was actually a Vietnamese place, so I figured that I might as well try the phở while we were here.

The broth was surprisingly muted, as if there were hardly any bouquet of spices used in brewing it. But it also made the broth a bit velvety. It did the job of getting food in my belly, but no, I didn't finish it. Oh, and the goose? It was nice and fatty, but the char siu here was so tough that we left it uneaten.
