The Prime Rib Loft at Orleans Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas

The Orleans Cut

I had to get some prime rib while I'm here in Las Vegas. Specifically, I wanted cheap low-grade prime rib from an old school place. So I poked around online and decided to come here (4500 West Tropicana Avenue, 702-365-7111).

I overshot. It turned out that they describe themselves as "affordable fine dining." It wasn't as high-end as Lawry's, but was maybe half a notch up from Black Angus. That was higher than what I wanted.

Well, I liked their grilled artichoke, and they provided a rather thick cut of beef as well as a salad and gigantic potato for just $24. But the meat was nothing to get excited about. I should just stick to the grimy casinos downtown.
