No, I didn't travel all the way to the US to eat at
Din Tai Fung. But it was requested for dinner tonight, and it was interesting to see some of the localization, like the availability of a wine list and bar to dine at, as well as sautéed kale on the menu. It might look
crispy in the photo above (and I wish it was), but it was sautéed with several big slices of garlic in a wok. It was edible, but I'd much rather get their
dou miao back in Asia.
