Pho 69 on South First Street in Downtown San Jose

I don't know how this place got starred in my Google Maps, but it was right around the corner from Original Joe's. And a piping hot bowl of phở sounded like just the thing I needed after finishing work nearby (321 South First Street, 408-289-8521). I regret going though. The broth looked suspicious when it came out, and indeed, it was shockingly sweet. It was so sweet that I just didn't even want to finish the bowl, which is a shame since the quality of the beef was tender and fatty. The broth ruined it.
