When did Dittmer's move to the Village Court Shopping Center? (4540 El Camino Real, 650-941-3800) Last time I was Dittmer's, it was back in its old location off of San Antonio. Anyway, I came here today not for the usual noontime sandwich, but to stock up on some ham before Christmas. And in the process, I spotted these Landjäger in the sausage section. I'd never heard of them before, but they were a bit like Slim Jims...except of course of much better quality and taste, and with none of the gas station stigma. Score!

ReplyDeleteI was at Dittmer's this afternoon too, to get some mortadella, bierschinken and kalbs-leberwurst. Theres a German bakery near it, with good pretzels, and they also serve meals.
