Sobrinos in Colonia Roma, Mexico City
I needed to get some food in my belly this morning, so I walked around for a while and ended up stopping here (Álvaro Obregón 110, 5264-7466), seeing how they seemed to be doing pretty brisk business on a Sunday morning. I nearly went for the obligatory chilaquiles but then I saw squash blossom quesadillas on the menu, and naturally went for that instead.
It hit the spot. I liked everything from the texture of the tortillas to the spicy creamy salsa to the squash blossoms themselves. It came with the added bonus of some sorely needed raw greens, while I washed it down with some hot chocolate and freshly squeezed orange juice. Nice one.
