I swear - this wasn't intentionally a streak of weird flavored candy. But another colleague who just came back from Japan brought these with her: takoyaki-flavored caramel. It tasted more like the brown sauce than octopus, but either way, it wasn't exactly anything that I enjoyed, especially since the gooey texture stuck to your teeth, making the odd taste linger on (she also had an oyster-flavored candy that didn't taste much better). Then again, I really shouldn't be one to talk; after all, I'm the weirdo who likes garlic cookies.
