132 Mee Pok at Marine Terrace, Singapore

Beehoon Soup

I didn't even realize this until now, but apparently these guys used to be one of the Jalan Tua Kong vendors. Either way, the thought of some noodles sounded good today (59 Marine Terrace #01-105). The nice thing was that the broth was solid: savory, punchy, and crisp. And the dumplings and garnish were nicely done too.

But the dry mee pok version was a big letdown given how mushy the noodles were. Their chili sauce was supposed to be a big highlight due to the presence of buah keluak in there, but I was too distracted by those noodles to pay much attention to the chili sauce. I'll stick to the soup beehoon version above instead.

I love a good bowl of dry bah chor mee but their standard had dipped after moving to Marine Terrace. When they were at Jalan tuakong, we had to wait 30 to 45 mins for our orders.
