McDonald's was definitely not my first choice for breakfast this morning. But I was pressed for time here in Shenzhen, and the thought of youtiao and soy milk from the Golden Arches was interesting enough that I grabbed a quick set.
No, it wasn't anything great. The dough was pretty dense, and the soy milk was watered down. But it satiated the urgency of getting something in my belly before meetings started, all while seeing another instance of McDonald's localization in the process.
